The Irish Baking Scallop Shell is the most recognizable and popular shell for the culinary industry. It is certainly the most ancient of serving vessels we carry, known to have been used throughout history to serve a variety of dishes. The shells are extra large measuring between 5 - 5½ inches wide and deep enough to accommodate any recipe such as seared scallops, ceviche, and Coquilles Saint-Jacques.

Slightly smaller than I thought but perfectly adequate for first course Coquille St. Jacques. Beautiful natural shell. Makes me want to make a pilgramage to St. Juan de Compestella so I could wear one on my hat!

We wanted a large shell for one of our favorite dishes for entertaining, Coquielle St. Jaque. We needed them for a party of 10, had forgotten ours were in storage (we just moved). Shapes, colors and quality were perfect, saved the day!! Made the presentation of this delicious shrimp recipe outstanding! Thanks Ancient Cookware!!
